This year the Award is given posthmously to MICHAEL YABSLEY from Illawarra.
Unfortunately Michael passed away on the 19th of April after 3 year battle with cancer. He resigned from the IDTTA committee on 5th April but continued to provide input to their operations until he was not well enough to continue. 
He started playing in the Illawarra comp in 2006 and joined the committee in 2007 and continued until resigning in April due to his health. In 2017 he identified Revsport as a suitable tool for the future and two years later TTA/TTNSW adopted Revsport as their membership platform. Revsport has inderpinned the change in professionalism of how the association is run.
Michael's contribution to the association over the years has been immense and many of his initiatives/advancements could never and would never have happened without his foresight leadership and drive.

The award was accepted by Stephen Young, the Illawarra representative, on behalf of the Yabsley family by Rob Beaumont on behalf of the Beaumont family.
